• Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS to calculate accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, and to find nearby mosques and halal restaurants. Your precise location is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
• Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect or track your browsing history
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes
• We do not use tracking technologies for targeted advertising
• We do not collect data from your contacts, camera, or microphone

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide accurate prayer times based on your location
• Calculate Qibla direction from your current position
• Find nearby mosques and halal restaurants
• Direct you to our website for optional donations and support
• Store your preferences (theme, notification settings, learning progress) locally on your device
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send prayer time notifications and reminders (with your permission)

3. Data Storage

Daily Noor App follows a local-first approach:

• Local Storage: Most of your data (prayer history, preferences, learning progress, Tasbih counts, favourites, offline Quran audio) is stored directly on your device using AsyncStorage and the device file system.
• Server-Side: The app communicates with external APIs for prayer time calculations, Quranic text, and audio files. No personal data is stored on our servers.
• Third-Party Services: We use Aladhan API for prayer time calculations and alquran.cloud for Quranic text. These services receive only the data necessary to fulfil their function (e.g., your coordinates for prayer times).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Aladhan API: For prayer time calculations using your coordinates.
• alquran.cloud: For Quranic text and translations.
• OpenStreetMap: For mosque and halal restaurant location data.
• EveryAyah.com: For Quran audio recitation files.

5. Notifications

With your explicit permission, Daily Noor App may send you:

• Prayer time reminders and Adhan alerts
• Advance prayer notifications
• Virtue reminders and spiritual prompts
• Ramadan-specific notifications during the holy month

You can customise or disable notifications at any time through the app settings or your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Daily Noor App includes a Kids Section designed for younger users. This section contains age-appropriate Islamic content including stories, quizzes, and learning material. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Kids Section operates entirely with locally stored data and does not require account creation or data submission.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

• All communications between the app and external services use HTTPS encryption
• We do not store sensitive personal data on our servers
• Local data on your device is protected by your device's own security measures

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request information about what data we hold about you
• Delete: Clear all locally stored data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings
• Opt Out: Disable notifications, location access, or any other permissions at any time through your device settings

9. Data Retention

• Most data is stored locally on your device and persists until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
• We do not maintain user accounts or profiles on our servers.

Daily Noor App is available worldwide. Your data is processed in accordance with applicable local laws. By using the app, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this policy.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal information.
